Heating system pipes is a general term for pipes that transport steam or hot water. It is an important part of the heating system. The main purpose of the heating system is to supply heat to the room through artificial methods to create suitable living or working conditions. This system consists of three main parts: heat source (heat medium preparation), heat circulation system (pipe network or heat medium transportation) and heat dissipation equipment (heat medium utilization).
1. The heat source mainly refers to the boiler room or thermal power plant that produces and prepares heat medium with certain parameters (temperature, pressure).
2. The task of Heating system pipes is to transport the heat energy produced by the boiler to indoor heat-using equipment through heat media such as steam and hot water to meet the needs of production and life.
3. Heat dissipation equipment is equipment that dissipates heat to the room.
Heating system pipes can be divided into steam and hot water pipes according to the different media flowing in the pipes;
According to their working pressures, they can be divided into low-pressure, medium-pressure and high-pressure pipes;
According to their laying locations, they can be divided into indoor and outdoor heating pipes.
In order to save energy, reduce costs and protect the environment while ensuring the heating effect, heating pipes generally use insulated pipes with good insulation effect and low heat loss.
The material selection of heating system pipes mainly considers corrosion resistance, heat resistance, durability and construction convenience. Common heating pipe materials include PPR pipes, PERT pipes, aluminum-plastic pipes, PB pipes, PEX pipes, polyurethane insulated pipes, metal pipes, etc. The following are the characteristics and application scenarios of various materials:
1. PPR pipe: The main material is polypropylene environmentally friendly material, which has high reliability, economical affordability, high temperature resistance, and a service life of about 50 years. It is mostly used in home decoration. The advantages of PPR pipes include corrosion resistance, good heat resistance, light weight, high mechanical strength, and not easy to scale.
2. PERT pipe: No toxic substances are added in the production, it is light, easy to transport and install, has good flexibility, does not require preheating during bending, has good low temperature resistance, and a service life of more than 50 years.
3. Aluminum-plastic pipe: Made of aluminum tube core and outer polyethylene plastic by hot melting. The surface material is non-toxic and tasteless, impact-resistant and corrosion-resistant. The aluminum alloy of the tube core has high compressive strength, acid and alkali resistance, and the average service life is up to 50 years.
4. PB pipe: It has high temperature resistance, is non-toxic and tasteless, light in weight, and corrosion-resistant, especially high temperature resistance. The service life is synchronized with the age of the house, but the price is relatively expensive.
5. PEX pipe: It is widely used in developed countries and has many advantages, such as no plasticizer, not easy to mold, no harmful ingredients, good heat resistance, high temperature resistance, good pressure resistance, arbitrary bending, no brittle cracking, etc.
6. Polyurethane insulation pipe: The full name is high-density polyethylene plastic outer polyurethane foam prefabricated direct buried insulation pipe, which is mostly used in large-scale engineering buildings and central heating projects. Its advantages include low cost, high quality, convenient on-site construction, high work efficiency, and the ability to add anti-corrosion layer.
7. Metal pipes: Although they are used less and less, they are still widely used in public areas. Common ones are galvanized steel pipes, iron pipes, and stainless steel pipes. The advantages are high strength, good performance, and low corrosion, but the disadvantages are high construction intensity, high cost, and easy heat loss and energy consumption in cold winter.
