HDPE Pipe Connection Methods
Butt Fusion (Butt-Melt Connection) – A widely used method for larger pipe diameters. Using a dedicated HDPE butt welding machine, the two pipe ends are heated to a molten state and then pressed together to fuse into a single, seamless joint. This ensures strong, leak-proof connections with excellent long-term reliability.
⚡ Electrofusion Connection – Ideal for tight spaces or locations where butt fusion is impractical. The pipe ends are inserted into a specially designed electrofusion fitting containing pre-embedded resistance wires. An electrofusion control unit powers the fitting, generating precise heat to melt and fuse the pipe and fitting together, forming a solid, uniform joint.
Flange Connection – Used when HDPE pipes need to connect to other pipe materials or equipment (e.g., valves, pumps, metal pipes). Two flange ends are securely fastened with bolts and sealed with gaskets, providing a flexible, detachable joint that allows for easy maintenance and replacement.
